Pointer Descendants 2015 Reunion Picnic Held at Lafayette Park

A group of more than 100 descendants of George Pointer returned to their roots for a family reunion in August 2015. They gathered for a picnic at Lafayette Park, the very spot where their family forebears had lived and farmed until 100 years ago. Organized by Tanya Hardy and James Fisher, a seventh-generation direct descendant of Pointer’s, the couple had leaned on historians Barbara Torrey and Clara “Tiggy” Green to reacquaint the scattered branches of the family about their rich heritage.
