An independent spirit, Connie Tobriner Povich defined her own path from her earliest years as one of the first generation of Chevy Chase residents to live in the post-1907 development launched by the Chevy Chase Land Company. Daughter of President Kennedy’s last appointed DC commissioner (“mayor”), Connie was acquainted with everyone in the neighborhood. She excelled in figure skating and continues her life-long connection to the sport.
